General Information: Chinese cabbage has a mild flavor for a cabbage variety. It also contains less calories and it is easier to digest. This type of cabbage is often confused with many other varieties that are similar.
Season: Available mostly from July through December, but the optimal season is from September through November.
Purchasing Tips: Chinese cabbage should have firm, tightly packed heads with crisp, green-tipped leaves.
Storage: Keep refrigerated for up to 3 days wrapped in plastic.
Cooking Tips: Chinese cabbage can be eaten raw or cooked by sautéing, baking, or stewing.
